Getting started with Rabby Mobile

Updated yesterday

Set up the Rabby Wallet mobile app on your phone to start managing your assets on the go.

Install Rabby Wallet Mobile

Download the extension from our official website: https://rabby.io/

  • Available on: iOS (App Store) and Android (Google Play).

  • Note: Only download from official links to ensure the safety of your assets.

Create a new address

If you don't have a wallet yet, select Create a New Wallet to get started.

1) Confirm your wallet

Your new public address will be displayed. Tap Continue to proceed. You can always view and copy your address later from within the wallet.

2) Set password

Create a strong password to unlock the app and encrypt your local data.

  • Biometrics: You can also enable FaceID or Fingerprint here for faster access.

  • Note: Rabby does not store your password. If forgotten, please reinstall Rabby.

  • Password vs. Seed Phrase: The password only unlocks the app on your current device. The Seed Phrase is what actually controls and recovers your addresses.

3) Choose a backup method

Select how you would like to restore your wallet:

  • iCloud / Google Drive Backup:

    • Your backup is encrypted with the app password you set up in the previous step. This password is required to restore your cloud backup. Rabby does not store your password and cannot recover it for you.

  • Manual Backup

    • Tap to reveal your 12-word seed phrase. Write the words down on paper and store them in a secure, physical location.

    • Why it's necessary: If your device is damaged or browser data is lost, this phrase is the only way to recover your assets. Rabby does not store your phrase and cannot help you restore your wallet if it is lost.

    • Keep it private: Anyone with these 12 words has full control over your funds. Rabby staff will never ask for your seed phrase.

Once the backup is complete, tap View Wallet to start using Rabby.

Troubleshooting: If cloud backup fails

Cloud backup failures are typically caused by system-level settings rather than the Rabby app itself. Common causes include:

  • Cloud Storage Full: Ensure you have enough free space in your iCloud or Google Drive account.

  • Permissions Disabled: Verify that Rabby has permission to access your cloud storage in your phone's system settings.

  • iCloud Drive is Off (iOS): You must have iCloud Drive enabled (Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud > iCloud Drive) for the backup to function.

  • Network Restrictions: A weak connection or a restricted network (like a VPN) may block the upload.

If you are unable to resolve these cloud storage issues, you can perform a Manual Backup to ensure your wallet is secured.

Importing addresses you already have

If you are already using an EVM-compatible wallet (such as MetaMask, Trust Wallet, or OKX), click I already have an address to proceed.

1) Select your import method

  • Import Seed Phrase: Manually input your 12-word seed phrase

  • Import Private Key: Manually input a single private key

  • Import from iCloud / Google Drive: Restore a previously saved Rabby backup from your cloud storage.

  • Connect Hardware Wallets: Connect mobile-compatible devices including Ledger (via Bluetooth), Keystone, OneKey, or Trezor.

2) Set up your password

Create a strong password to unlock the app and encrypt your local data.

  • Biometrics: You can also enable FaceID or Fingerprint here for faster access.

  • Note: Rabby does not store your password. If forgotten, please reinstall Rabby.

After adding your addresses, Rabby Wallet automatically displays your tokens, NFTs, and DeFi assets across all supported EVM chains—no manual importing required.
