Connecting to a DApp
1) Locate the Connect Wallet button on the website you want to use.
2) Select Rabby Wallet from the list of available wallet options. A pop-up window from Rabby will appear.
If the DApp doesn't list Rabby Wallet, select MetaMask. A Rabby pop-up will appear, allowing you to connect.
If neither Rabby nor MetaMask is an option, select the generic Browser Wallet or Injected option.
If you have multiple wallet extensions installed, Rabby will prompt you to confirm which one to use.
Troubleshooting
If you're having trouble connecting, try these steps:
Open Rabby and go to Settings > Connect Rabby by Disguising as MetaMask.
Refresh the DApp website.
Select the MetaMask option to connect—Rabby will appear.
How to switch addresses
Open the Rabby Extension pop-up, locate the wallet selector at the top, and switch to your desired address. The DApp will automatically update and switch to the address you are currently on.
Rabby Mobile
Connecting to a DApp on mobile
1) At the bottom of the app, swipe up on the "Swipe up to explore & search websites" toast
2) Select a DApp directly from the list, or use the search bar at the bottom to search for a DApp.
3) Locate the Connect Wallet button on the website.
4) Select Rabby Wallet from the list of available wallet options.
If Rabby is not listed, select MetaMask. A Rabby pop-up will appear to complete the connection.
How to switch addresses
While you are on the DApp page, tap the Wallet Avatar (the unique pattern icon) in the bottom-right corner of the navigation bar. You will see your currently connected wallet; tap it to switch to another wallet address.
Connecting to a DApp on your computer (via WalletConnect)
Navigate to Settings > WalletConnect and scan the QR code displayed on your PC screen to complete the connection.
Checking website safety and handling warnings
When connecting to a DApp, Rabby displays objective safety data to help you see if a website is trustworthy. These safety checks are automatic and cannot be hidden or bypassed by the website.
Safety checks you will see
List by: Shows which Web3 platforms (such as Alchemy, CoinMarketCap, DappRadar, and DefiLlama) have officially listed the DApp. If a website is not listed on any of these platforms, a yellow warning (!) will appear until a public listing is established.
Site Popularity: Indicates how much web traffic the site receives. A yellow warning (!) will appear if the traffic volume is very low, which is common for brand-new scam websites. This warning disappears automatically as the site accumulates steady, organic traffic over time.
My mark: A custom security label managed by you. By default, there is no mark, but you can edit it to mark a website as Trusted or Blocked. If marked as Trusted, you can connect smoothly even if other warnings are present. If marked as Blocked, a warning will appear every single time you attempt to connect.
Flagged by Rabby: This indicator only appears if the website is a known malicious or phishing site flagged by the Rabby system. If you see this red warning, you should immediately close the tab.
How to Handle Connection Warnings
If a risk is detected, the Connect button will be disabled by default to protect your wallet.
We highly recommend carefully reviewing these risks before taking action.
If you completely understand the potential danger and choose to accept the risk, you can click "Ignore All" to enable the Connect button.
