Why hasn't my bridge transaction arrived?

Updated this week

To troubleshoot a bridge delay, you first need to identify which stage of the process your transaction is currently in.

1) Stuck on the Source Chain (Starting Chain)

This means your initial bridge request has not yet been confirmed on the blockchain.

  • The Issue: The bridge protocol cannot begin moving your assets until it successfully receives them from your wallet on the starting chain.

  • The Solution: If the transaction is "Pending" in your wallet for a long time, you should use the "Speed Up" feature in Rabby to increase the gas price and help the transaction confirm. Check here for detailed instruction on how to speed up transactions.

2) Stuck at the Destination Chain (Target Chain)

This means your funds have been successfully deducted from your starting chain, but you have not yet received anything on the target chain.

  • The Issue: Bridging is a multi-step process that involves coordination between two separate blockchains. Even after your transaction is confirmed on the source chain, the bridge must wait for that transaction to become irreversible and then manually deliver the funds to the destination.

  • The Solution: Please wait patiently. Delays typically occur if a network is congested or if the bridge protocol's delivery system is processing a high volume of transfers. This process can often take longer than a standard swap.

3) When to Contact Support

If your transaction has been stuck at the destination stage for more than 24 hours, please contact the Rabby support team.

To help us investigate, please include:

  • Your wallet address

  • The Transaction Hash of the bridge transaction you initiated.

Note: If you initiated the bridge on a DApp website instead of using the Rabby Bridge feature, please contact that DApp's support team instead. Rabby Wallet has no access or control over the status of bridge transactions that were NOT initiated through the native Rabby Bridge.
