Importing an address via Private Key or Seed Phrase

If you have a backup of an existing seed phrase or private key, you can easily import it to Rabby Wallet.

Import During Onboarding

Browser Extension (First-Time Setup)

After installing the Rabby extension, the onboarding page will open automatically.

1) Click I already have an address.

2) Select Seed Phrase or Private Key: Input or paste your 12-word seed phrase or private key.

3) Set password: create a strong password to unlock the extension and encrypt your local data.

  • Note: Rabby does not store your password. If forgotten, please reset Rabby to create a new password.

Mobile App (First-Time Setup)

After installing the app, launch it to start onboarding.

1) Tap I already have an address.

2) Select Seed Phrase or Private Key: Input or paste your 12-word seed phrase or private key.

3) Enable FaceID/Fingerprint or set a password: This is used to unlock the app and encrypt your local data.

  • Note: Rabby does not store your password. If forgotten, you will need to reinstall the app.

Import After Setup

Browser Extension (Add Wallet Post-Onboarding)

1) Click the wallet address selector at the top of the extension.

2) Click the Add button at the top right.

3) Select Import Seed Phrase or Import Private Key.

  • Tip: If you have multiple keys, select Import Private Key > Bulk Import Private Key to add them all at once.

Mobile app (Add Wallet Post-Onboarding)

1) Tap the Add Wallet icon in the top-right corner of the homepage.

2) Select Import Seed Phrase or Import Private Key.
